not sure, however last night I got a somewhat disconcerting email from the company I bought it from, it was a shipping notice.

my parts are in the mail, BUT they are coming from china....

I hope they are legitimate Nokia parts.

when I get them I will take photos of the parts and post them to see what you guys think.

Questions about the screen and housing

My original screen looks different on the back to this one? it has small metal teeth things?do you need to dismantle anything from the original display?

I have just done a white N9 conversion (more info on the white N9 thread and the shredded screw thread )

but was a little disappointed with my housing and the fitting of the original screen!

The metal strip on the back is slightly raised around the lens. I'm not sure if i did this by over tightening the screws or if it was already like this?

secondly the usb door isn't completely flush. I think its bent.

and lastly the screen i have is too raised so there is a flat sharp edge whereas my old housing it was smooth from plastic to glass (edge to edge). Top to bottom is fine.

I think the newer N9 has less plastic and more glass on the sides and this being more curved than the early models, really would like someone to confirm this?

Has any one got a couple of N9s? ever tried swapping the screens around?

If I got a more curved screen it may line up better? also wondering if screens on ebay can really be fake? surely not? it would be too hard to replicate? and get away with selling them without negative feedback?

My housing for example i reckon was rejected on quality grounds?

Does it say NOKIA where it should? I see that all places where the logo should be are covered with stickers. I'm also wondering if N9 screens are actually AMOLED. On ebay it always says LCD. Even if I search with AMOLED it shows some results with both AMOLED and LCD in the description.

also they are OEM Nokia parts
do you know why this screen looks different on the reverse? it has no little metal teeth thingings?
