Just to update im still waiting for the phone, awaiting parts.

that flash that was done, what did it do? what did it delete?

What I know is that it reinstalls the kernel. After doing it, I had the apps removed (if I remember right), but the contacts,sms,phones,emmc,mem card etc. were untouched....
I don't think that it will remove any of these... Only if you flash the emmc as well will delete these, because it formats the emmc and rerite anything that was at first in your phone.

i think i have a backup on the phone, would that restore the apps i installed?

Maybe... If it was restored as well, but I have never done that, so I don't really know

Collected my phone from the shop and they said the motherboard is damaged.

so i cant get my stuff off it now ....

What to do next? Buy another n900 or convert to another phone

if u were used to it you will find a hard time switching to diffrent phone . Alternatevely you can switch if the 900 bugged you but i think it still perfoms well depending upon your usage.

I loved it becoz it was unique. and i felt different with it, like having power lol

Maybe you can try the n9 (if you can afford it of course and if you don't really care about the keyboard), because I think that it is such a good phone!

it looks good, but i love the keyboard.
does the phone have lots of repositories like the n900?
yes it is still expensive :|

I don't own one, so I don't know, but I really like this device
It is really strong (as it is a nokia ), and it has open source os as well!
I also like the design and the nice camera!
I don't know why but by the time I saw it I want it but it is a little more expensive...
