Is there a way to disable the lockscreen, so I can get into the home screen or feed screen imediately after doubletapping the standby screen?

Not sure if that is possible, but you could use my doublepress2unlock-app (see my signature)

and more...

On N900 check out this: SleepAnalyser to analyse your sleep movements / PasswordMaker a for a password generator

Thanks for the tip.

I personally don't like using that hardwarebutton though.

Would be great if you can find a way to have your app function with the doubletap funtion!

+1 for a solution to this.

I would really like to get rid of that unlock screen, apart from showing my fancy wallpaper it doesn't do anything useful...

2 solutions:
-with N9QT you can set that double tap on screen T-3-6-3
-modify /etc/mce/mce.ini line 67
PowerKeyShortAction=tklock-both
(both means lock and unlock, is lock by default)

Code:
gconftool -s -t int /system/osso/dsm/locks/tklock_double_tap_gesture 2
0 = disable
1 = open lockscreen
2 = open phone to homescreen
