I have nokia 770 with os2006 and wifi does not detect networks, but with os2005 without problem. already probe many things but without exit. need help please, thanks.

I have similar problem with OS2006 on N770. It seems that there is a bug out there related to 802.11n APs. You can search the forum with "blind" & "wifi" keywords for more details. Anyway, as a workaround, i was able to get WIFI up w/ a bit tweaking.

1. You'll need to install
wireless-tools package http://maemo.org/development/tools/bora.html
xterm & root access http://maemo.org/maemowiki/HowTo_EASILY_BecomeRoot
It's a chicken and the egg problem here Easiest way, go to another WIFI location where you can get network (i.e. no 802.11n around) and download package that way. The harder way is get Bluetooth networking up, then pull package down that way. In theory, another possible solution is to download files via USB to MMC and install manually using apt-get / dpkg

2. You'll need to create a dummy network IAP like described
here
gconftool -s -t string /system/osso/connectivity/IAP/DEFAULT/type DUMMY

3. Save the following scripts w/ your own parameters (ESSID / Password)

iwconfig wlan0 essid <ESSID> mode managed enc <PASSKEY> commit
/sbin/udhcpc -i wlan0

Now, to connect:
1. Select DEFAULT IAP network profile
2. Open xterm, sudo gain root
3. NOTE: you may have to do "ifconfig wlan0 down && ifconfig wlan0 up" depending on state of wlan0
4. Then run script (which in turns run iwconfig & udhcpc)

So..... For ppl who really wanted to fix this permanently, the bug seems to be in the network scanning portion. Until then, i guess I'll settle for this fix.
