Nope, they can't be bypassed. A normal pub or whatever that have log-ins like that, should give that for free just because you are a CUSTOMER.

AFAIK it was discussed few times already, and there are ways to make it work perfectly fine with N900 (if you mean't legitimate passing). I can't recall actual methods (never needed to log-in into such AP), but search is your friend.

The question is not whether it's possible to bypass the security; the question is, which of the many different ways available is still applicable to the hotspot in question (ask their security advisor), and how difficult it is to use this method on N900.

Perhaps you could try with the WiFi Assistant (http://wiki.maemo.org/WifiAssistant). I don't know if automatic login was ever implemented though.

If I sat in a Cafe where their Wifi Hotspot has a landing page where it requires to enter a username/password where you have to buy these credentials.
Can N900 pass this landing page ?
Can Wifi Assistant app make this ?!
