Why not adding new version to repos?

Technical problems?

Anyone know why m.youtube.com now redirects me to http://www.youtube.com/?nomobile=1?

Can't reproduce this.
Did you perhaps press the Desktop option at the top of the page?
If I press it I get directed to http://www.youtube.com/?nomobile=1 etc.

It does this for me using MicroB and Tear running on Maemo 4.

It also does the same using Firefox on Windows XP.

I'm using MicroB on Maemo 5 CSSU-Stable on my N900 and that seems to work without problems.
I can understand why it does works this way on firefox on Windows XP and can reproduce it. I think it has something to do with the user-agent that's initiates the request to the webserver. I don't however understand why that would have changed on MicroB on Maemo 4?
Maybe MicroB on Maemo4 never used the user-agent 'Mobile' and Google just updated their browser detection scripts.

But I think we're getting off topic here. Please open a new thread if you wish for other users to help you without sidetracking this one.

m.youtube.com was super lightweight until 2 days ago.

Very plain but incredibly easy and fast to use.

Having a more modern phone, you probably never got the chance to see what it was like.

I guess now it's gone and the only thing I can do is spoof the site into thinking I am using an iPhone.

Unfortunately that is so much worse than the basic way I was doing before this.

I posted on Twitter to YouTube and also in Google Groups where a couple of others are experiencing the same problem.

For now, the fastest way for this older tablet to navigate is by using the site youtubeskip.com.

It only allows for searching and viewing a person's channel, but at least it's something for now.

My CuteTube is still not working. When I select the YouTube scene it redirects me immediately to related videos instead.

I have tried:
1) Uninstalling and reinstalling all CuteTube package including the mbarcode.
2) Reboot.
3) CSSU updates.

Please help, as I really enjoy the CuteTube app very much. Thanks.
