Yeah, I have the sources, I may even have it packaged, I need to take a look at it.
We cant use kernel-power, systemd requires >= 3.0 (Mer 2.6.37 kernel has something backported, it worked last time I checked.) and there are few other issues too. Not saying it's not possible though, someone should investigate that option more in-depth.

Leds work fine. For calls you need pulseaudio and modules from Nemo. Camera is possible if someone fixes drivers. GPS I do not know, there is some example code around showing how to access it but I have no more knowledge about it. I don't support overclocking, N900 is fast enough without it. It just requires a bit of thinking/learning to find the right software to run on such hardware.
As an offtopic sidenote, I was given an old laptop, Fujitsu Lifebook C-6555, which has 650MHz Pentium 3 (and the most awesome 440BX chipset), 320MB of RAM and ATI Mach64. I installed Arch Linux, of course, and with my usual choice of software (dwm, dmenu and urxvt) the system just flies. It's a beauty in so many ways, and I just love using it. Soo, with some tinkering, it should not be that complicated to get smooth user experience out of N900, with or without overclocking.
