Funny, my conclusion would be the exact opposite based on how the crowd-funding campaign is handled.
Not that I would know much about leadership, but:
Lots of mistakes == bad leadership
in my basic way of thinking.

Even if it doesn't succeed it provides publicity for Canonical and Ubuntu Touch. Hopefully Ubuntu Touch is itself successful because then it will bring people to the desktop and if popular enough it will bring native Linux drivers for Mobile on top of being a truly open platform unlike the rest.
