A column on the Nokia 770 appeared today on NewsForge :

I don't know if the author lurks around here, but the content is vastly better clued-in than most of what has been written elsewhere so far :-)

Excellent review, though it's from someone with Linux experience. Still though, he didn't do anything crazy so I think it's really effective. Taking time to check out maemo.org and the plethora of additional apps allowed him to see what the 770's capable of. Nice concept, checking out the product thoroughly before talknig about it.

Kind of software-centered though he managed to fit in bits about the resolution, processor speed, etc.

Aside from needing some negative points, I'd point people interested in the 770 towards it.

I would agree. It was reviewed based on what it was designed for, not what the reviewer wanted it to be.

Yeah, the review took advantage of what Nokia wanted users to do and actually download 3rd party apps.
