What are the odds of getting a scanner (flatbed or mobile) working with USB OTG?

I assume that all that is missing is the kernel drivers for the usb scanners?

I know there's no software available for scanning but I'm sure a port of SANE could be accomplished.

Thanks

I would have thought it's quite doable. Let us know how you get on.

I might just require a powered hub. It might require the scanner kernel modules if they and SANE don't just recognize as a generic SCSI device.

The scanner I have is a standard desktop model Epson 610 and I think it should work. The first step is compiling a kernel in scratchbox. Is there an easy howto on building a n800 kernel?

Easy is pretty subjective, but there's a guide here: http://maemo.org/development/documen...for_maemo.html
Linked from here: http://maemo.org/development/documentation/how-tos/4-x/
