I have a N9 in my hands. This in the situation:
- I don't know the history of the phone
- the screen have been replaced by someone else, he said is new
- the flat cable from the digitizer to the main board is missing
- when i use Flasher, the output screen disappears in few seconds and is pretty impossible read the output ([SOLVED] with the help of The Flash from DC Comics. I took some screenshots with PrtScr)

Below, I use these conventions:
- main.bin = DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM
- emmc.bin = 2B49474F_DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.13-7.ITALY_EMMC_ITALY

The feedback from the phone is just the white led.
When I pressthe main switch, the led will turn on fixed for few seconds, after which sometime blink fast, sometime blink slow, sometime is turned off. No vibrations.

With phone connected via usb, sometime the pc make the typical sound of usb mass storage connected/disconneted.

From what i read from the screenshots, the N9 has the memory completly empty, no OS present.

Navifirm+ does not connect with server.

I use Windows 7 or Ubuntu

What i have to do to restore the N9? Thank you

Ok, I fallowed the advice and now it's a little bit better
I disconnected the battery for a while, now I reconnected it and I tried to flash.
Flasher doesn't autoclose in millisecond, the window stays open

First of all, you should open the command prompt or terminal, and then type the flasher command, It will stay open and you will not have to "fast as Flash" screenshot.

Second, it seems you are trying to "downgrade" your firmware. See the last error. So check this link:

To better understand the problem.

Hope you'll be able to boot it, but it seems that, at least, you can flash. So the hardware part seem ok.

I didn't try to downgrade the firmware, it was I used the wrong image
I download some firmware looking for the right one, but it was ever the 001 variant
Finally I found this version 059K0Z2_RM-696 NDT GERMANY CYAN 16GB containing:
- D4A3D2AC_DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_LEGACY_009-OEM1-958_ARM
- 61A8E22C_DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.13-7.DACH_EMMC_DACH

I did this actions (no screenshots taken):
- flasher -f -F main.bin -F emmc.bin --flash-only=mmc
- flasher -f -F main.bin
- flasher -R

The N9 has accepted the image, the phone has rebooted and has vibrated but now is died
Now the pc doesn't see anymore the phone via usb
I'm waiting the missing flex sensor, maybe this is the problem
In the meantime, I disconnected the battery

Well 1st of all, you should NEVER flash mmc only in any situation. It can brick the device if mainbin and mmc is out of sync. So the right command is (and yes you only need to run one command to do all the steps):

flasher -f -F main.bin -F mmc.bin --erase-user-data=secure -R

And as you have already noticed that your device is currently 009 so you cannot downgrade to 001. So your main.bin needs to be 009.

Follow whatever rainisto says - it'll wipe all your data off the N9, clean.

If the N9 doesn't respond to a USB cable, start Flasher, let it wait for device, then plug in the phone (assuming you're starting with the N9 off).

If you're in a mad hurry, start the erase procedure, wait 1-2 minutes, then close Flasher and force the N9 off via the power button.

Flash main and emmc images as usual, without the erase-user-data flag.

Well, after 2 hours of attempts, nothing happens.

For what I read, the last solution is Phoenix
But, before to make another Big Mistake, i wait what the gurus says

This is the procedure I think to follow
0. DO NOT CONNECT THE PHONE with PC until Phoenix does not ask (even then connect the phone in “Switched Off” condition)

1. download Phoenix from here
2. close antivirus
3. install Phoenix as administrator

from here
4. run Phoenix as administrator and select NO CONNECTION as conection type
5. click file | open product and set RM-696
6. click tools | select data package download
7. insert code (in my case 059K0Z2)
8. click check availability and download

in alternative I think is possible to extract 059K0Z2_RM-696 NDT GERMANY CYAN 16GB.tar.gz in C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\RM-696 but I prefer restart from zero

9. select firmware update | flashing
10. press "..." and select the language pack / product code you want to flash on phone
11. tick Dead phone USB flashing
12. click Refurbish
13. a new windows with instructions to connect the phone appears. Follow the instructions and press ok


I'm checked until 11. I'm ready to refurbish

I can't establish when the phone is on or off. So I thought:
B1. disconnect the battery
B2. connect the battery (one little white led flash)
B3. press for 8s the power button
B4. connect the phone via usb when asked by Phoenix
