Hello,

with search option i could found something about this problem. Doesn't matter if i enable or disable automatic time... N9 Clock always is a few minutes earlier then real time after a while... Any chance to fix this?

Mine always does this, it seems to very slowly gain time. Irritating but I assumed it was a hardware issue as it did it from the day I got it, and no firmware updates ever changed it. Just have to keep changing it back like i do. Also my phone network doesn't support auto time update so enabling that which presumably would correct it, doesn't help me.

I think that ntpd is available via openrepos

I have the same issue with my N900. It is a few minutes forward the normal clock (like 3 minutes for me), and I don't understand why. Tried to set manual time but after a while it gets to the same point, and if I set it to automatic it doesn't change.

Strange behaviour.

Code:
devel-su
echo 'deb http://harmattan.openrepos.net/rzr personal main' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/openrepos-rzr.list
apt-get update
apt-get install openntpd
And you should be good to go...

Some mobile operators provide time/date information via the radio link. This may be the cause. It could be useful to check wether other models have the same issue.
On the other hand, I used to synchronize my N900 with this command (only when I had taken the battery apart):

rdate -s time.nist.gov

It must be run as root, BTW. Also, if you use alarmed (only for N900) you can run it periodically.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
