Mike,

Icons are back with the last update.
Thanks!

Here are two screenshots. As you can see, the folder tree shows the Kingston card, but does not give me access to the folders or pictures (in the folders) on the card. [IMG][/IMG]

shacky4:

In your screenshots you do have a plus sign on the icon beside "Kingston":

Name: expander.jpg
Views: 198
Size: 15.3 KB

To expand this entry, you have to click on the icon (the area circled in red above). Clicking the checkbox will not select subfolders and it will not expand the entry. Likewise, clicking on the "Kingston" name will not expand it either.

Cheers,

Mike

Wow, I never saw that "+" there, I was looking to the right of the left of the icon.

As you say, if you click on it, it opens up and shows the folders. Works fine.

Thank-you for your replies and your patience for what now looks pretty simple.

Maybe the + (and - ) could be made slightly larger? I can't get close enough to actually see it properly - had to use a magnifying glass. I could probably have focused on it two years ago, but when the near-focus range starts to change it sure changes rapidly..

Amen, brother. I never wore glasses in my life until I turned 40.

Since the Quiver dev is replying in this thread, I would like to say, "very nice work!" Quiver is one of my top 5 apps on the N800. I have tons of pictures of my daughter which I show off at the drop of a hat. I can plug my camera into the USB connector and look at the photos on the camera just by choosing the preset bookmark.

There's a bit of a bug with the toolbar and fullscreen photo viewing mode. When I go into full screen + filmstrip mode (using the fullscreen HW key), there's no toolbar showing. If I pull down the menu and uncheck then check the toolbar, it appears. But if I leave fullscreen mode and return to it, the toolbar is gone again.

I have one "wishlist" item too. I wish Quiver had an easy way to rotate photos 90 degrees (without going into a menu or making the toolbar show), since portrait photos look much better on the tablet's wide screen when they are rotated to landscape.

I would love a HW button mapping to rotate photos.

A much cooler, iPhone-like thing would be a touchscreen gesture, a circular motion in the direction you wish to rotate?

Maybe, perhaps, a menu setting that auto-rotates portrait photos (vertical dimension = 2x horizontal dimension or something) when in fullscreen photo browser....?

Yep. I know about this. It's in my 'todo' list. I will fix this by saving the state of the toolbar, statusbar, etc when in fullscreen.

Yep. I agree. I have plans to add some buttons that overlay on top of the image so you can access the most common functions without needing to go into a menu (slideshow, rotate, next, prev, exit fullscreen etc). I also plan to add a new view mode that will optimize viewable area by rotating the image if necessary.
