To complete the cycle, I'm wondering how feasible it would be for the N900 to also be a USB Audio interface. The idea is to plug N900 into a PC's USB port, and have the computer use N900 as a USB Audio interface.
This avoids noise on the wire from the headphone jack when plugged into USB-power. Plus, using BT audio-in and USB audio-out sidesteps the whole line-noise problem when N900 is plugged into USB-power.
