Not quite, but the Nokia Play 360 and my car's handsfree equipment both work fine with it.

If you owned an N9, is Bluetooth better in your experience? The N9 hasn't been the best at Bluetooth...

I haven't experienced problems with Bluetooth on the N9, so I cannot compare it with Jolla. Both just work IMHO.
But I like the UI for handling Bluetooth better on the Jolla. One thing I miss on the Jolla, though, is automatically enabling Bluetooth on the phone, switching on the 360, and pairing it with the phone, all by just tapping the 360 with the N9.

Automatic pairing works. If I have Bluetooth switched on on the Jolla and enter my car, it will automatically use the handsfree equipment.

The only purpose of all these so-called tech review sites is to track you down and sell you to anyone interested. Can you believe there are 6!!! tracking entities watching you on that page? I should say, I definitely prefer reviews from TMO folks.

I think the use of the benchmark of "intuitive" by many reviews is deeply flawed and matters get further confused when unfamiliar is conflated with "unintuitive". The touted "intuitive" Android and IOS interfaces simply are now cognitively well-embedded so of course, they are in a sense, intuitive.

Let's hope that that's a feature to be added, although I am unsure as to how that will work if you have 2 RFID tags close to it (namely the other half and the speakers).

Sadly, this may not be too popular... even the Nexus 5 is much worse at NFC pairing than its predecessors.

Yeah, that is how I found it. But 85% of surfers out there are not aware of such tools. And I feel sorry for them.

If anybody is surprised by The Verge and Engadget's views on the Jolla phone, I have a bridge I'll sell you as well. They were going to come with a different vantage point mostly due to being iPhone/Android users for the majority of the last 6 years.

That's the same uphill battle that folks that haven't used the N9 and saw the potential and/or change in the Harmattan UI. Now you have Sailfish, with tons of enhancements, some changes are welcome, some are challenging. Some... will probably become second nature in due time - I still double tap all of my phones without thinking.

Change can be challenging. Look at Windows Phone with their Metro look and feel. Only a few folks like it, likely none in this forum. But it's those departures that make for better discussion on how it was done before, how it's being changed and how it'll get better.

Anyway, let's not bicker about the folks that think differently or only see things through tainted lenses. That was invariably going to happen. It's just a criticism in some cases, lesser informed than you'd probably like.

But that's how products can get better. And this discussion shows how varied users even within this community may be. I'm enjoying it, thoroughly.

back to lurking...
