the zip file includes:
libvlc5_1.2.0~git-1_armel.deb
vlc-player_1.2.0~git-1_armel.deb
Just extract them into a new empty folder and use the terminal to install them with root:
dpkg -i *.deb

It would be nice if we could get rid of the grey toolbar at the bottom. Does anyone still have the source for this that would be willing to share? I think it just needs to start in fullscreen ( showFullscreen() http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/13391 )
