I can now officially announce I have given the name Palikka for my Jolla. It celebrates the unique Finnish design and roughly means Block in English. It follows the tradition of great names like Halko, Banaani, Lankku & Lauta.

For Finnish pronounciation of Palikka, please listen to 00:45 of this video review. Thanks to Henri for inspiration.

When you join Jolla with the White Other Half and install Snow White Ambience, you get a Jääpalikka (Ice Block), the coolest phone on Earth

Output of "ssu s" on my device gives the following info:

Device model: Jolla (SbJ / JP-1301)

So there you have the name of "the Jolla phone"

SbJ = Sweet baby Jesus?

Yeah, let's stick with that. It makes a lot more sense than the real reason for that naming

According to PDAdb.net, it is JP-1301
Also the listing here mentions MPN as JP-1301
So shall we call it.. Jolla Phone 1301 ?

I'd like Jolla Communicator more Phone is a really obsolete name for portable handset computers, and "smartphone" is a pretty dumb term.

JP-1301 sounds like a code name for a droid from Star Wars
