I suppose Kastrup DK is the nearest airport to you served by FedEx. Air freight companies operate using a hub principle, they have only a few global hubs, and it seems that Paris is FedEx's European hub.

Why not take a little detour over the Gobi desert as well?

Not complaining over the delivery time, just surprised how these things work.
I know it seems odd. But FedEx have a huge central hub at Charles de Gaulle airport that they use for all their main European services. So all packages first travel to Charles de Gaulle, and then get distributed from there.

I know it seems odd - but FedEx have a large central hub at Charles de Gaulle through which all European shipments travel. I.e your Jolla first travels to Charles de Gaulle by whatever route FedEx think expedient, and is then dispatched from there

I think now i know why they first processed all finnish phones.
If i compare from this thread and the spredsheet - it seems like FedEx is faster delivering the phones to Europe than Itella / Posti is here. I am tracking my phone around Helsinki / Vantaa and compared to some fellows here their phones are faster to France / Portugal / Austria even.

Might be - i might be wrong. Anyway i wish everybody fast delivery with his/her Xmas present.

Yes, therefore the second wave preorders are being priorized over the first wave preorders to Europe.

If some one from Jolla is reading: Thank you Jolla, you left me without phone for christmas!

A little more patience I guess

Mine is still on Paid btw, 4099

I wouldn't mind if this was true as one of the First Wave 100Euro backers.

The Fedex status for my order as of today still says no [Order 200000273 shipping to Norway --> Not Found ]

It's now been 'In Picking' for 7 days.

Aye, I tried, but it's not possible to track parcels to Norway without a valid postcode. If you just enter the order number and country the postcode field will change to red and prevent any searches.

The same seems true for Sweden and possibly Switzerland plus others I'm sure.

Looks like something is getting sorted out. The store is back and it is now explicitly written that we pay local taxes and customs fees if we order to Norway, Switzerland and Aaland... And the taxes are 0% in the store.

Now I really wonder if we (CH, Norway, Aaland preorders) can get 24% back. We should. I mean, I appreciate their hard work, but I don't wanna get taxed twice.

Just asked on Twitter.

Hello everyone, just an update:

Yesterday I received the shipping email notification from Jolla, 36h after get the "In-Picking" status (Your Shipment #20000165x for Order #20000259x).
The delivery is planned for today.

Anyone knows why they use a Shipment_Id? Does it mean that my order 259x is the 165x Jolla thay shipped?
