Bumping up a relatively old thread again, I'd like to share what I am working on at the moment, and hopefully encourage others to share their projects as well.

Something tells me the N900 is not quite dead. Yet.

Language/s: Python
IDE: GEdit (as it's just a Fremantle port for now, Hildonized not Qt-fied.)
Project: Gene's Cash PIM
Progress: 10%
License: GPL
Distribution: Fremantle
Purpose/goal of project: To port Gene's Cash PIM to Maemo5. Included are a calendar, a to-do-list, spend-it. So far just for fun and private use, as there doesn't seem to be much desire for this app on TMO at the moment.

Original project: https://garage.maemo.org/projects/genecash-pim.

I think of trying programming a little just for fun. Who knows, maybe I go crazy and actually develop something. Is Python good/easy/a good start for begginners?
