@kehno, that seems to be quite unlucky, might even need to be returned to care for reflash.

I guess that's what I'll have to do. Hopefully it's just fluke in my device, like bad flash chip and nothing widespread.

I have the same problem, how can i fix it? nothing happens with vol- + power on ..

Unplug USB cable and turn off device
Press volume down and power on the device
Plug in USB cable and using USB networking telnet to 192.168.2.15 or 10.42.66.66 and follow the instructions

the phone with the battery in, keeps rebooting, no way to turn it off, if i remove the battery, when i put it in it keeps rebooting

try
take out battery
push and hold volume down
insert battery, while keep pressing volume down
insert usb
hopefully you will now be in recovery

the usb should be connected to pc or the electrical plug?

To PC
you will need Linux to get USB network

ok, i'm downloading ubuntu, will it work with a virtual machine?
and after started ubutu what do i have to do to use USB networking?
Sorry i'm a bit inexperienced with this..

sudo ifconfig usb0 192.168.2.16 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
telnet 192.168.2.15

instructions should then come on screen

VM should work, I often use that.
