Well, finally my new phone arrived. I'm officialy a happy owner of a n9.

I want to start developing apps for the n9, but my background is closer to Web/Win32 with Java/Delphi/C#/Some C/Some Python.

My goal is to code apps that also work for sailfish.
Therefore, i want to ask the community with more experience in the subject.

-> Recommended enviroment for developing (ex. OSX/Ubuntu version/etc). I will need scratchbox. (i read somewhere in the forum that is a pain in the neck to get it working).

-> Other languages than C++/Python ?

-> Advantages / Disadvantages QT5 in Meego Harmattan.
Someone try to compile QT5.1 or QT 5.2 for Harmattan?
There is a Project/Effort for QT Quick Components for harmattan in QT5? How you deal with these, duplicate code ?

Thanks!

PD: sorry for my poor english.

I'd like to start developing for harmattan (and maybe sailfish) but I have only a little practice in java....

As far as I know you can code apps in python (which one should I learn 2.x or 3.x?) and qml. Are there any good IDEs (QtCreator? what do you guys use?) What software do I need?

would be awesome if someone could fill me in on the subject!

happy new year!!!!

Here's another someone who owns a n900, n9 and jolla that would like to try his hand at developing for them.

Is it possible to target them all in one go?
