Fdm printed other half, in near Poppy red too!

edit to add. Printed from Jolla Other Half Developer kit 3d stl file.

This was done on one of my work colleagues printer. He ran out of black "ink".

First attempt, in high precision mode, doesn't quite fit. Looks ok externally but not the internal dimensions. The issue seems to be with wall width rather than general dimensions. This makes it too tight to fit the phone.

Anyone know the wall thickness setting. It could be a printer restriction but not sure yet.

Yes it is, although there seems to be a very subtle curve to the outside edges that the printer does not like. Would be better if the edges were all square for a 3d printer.

I tried to print the official model too with no success. It doesn't fit well and it's curved which makes printing pretty hard.

Nice one indeed but you are not the first one...nor the last one. In fact you are somewhere in between.

I was passing both the STL that Jolla provided through Netfabb 5.0 (basic) to run a standard analysis for the mesh, and both resulted in a warning that the surface is not closed.
Did the slicer have any issues due to that?

Anyone tried to send the SDK-version to Shapeways or other similar service?
