It's now been attributed to a poor translation/quote now. But let's be honest, anything is possible. But will anything happen?

The financial ties between NOK and MSFT are quite tight.
Things might be tight, but with Microsoft possibly making their own phone, things will be changing. And despite their tightness, it's not helping Nokia financially, whereas Nokia is helping Microsoft in at least helping out their (Microsoft) brand awareness and selling the lion's share of Windows Phone 7 and 8 devices out of all of Microsoft's WP7/8 affiliates.

Besides, the question was "is Nokia going to make an Android device?" and the answer was "Anything is possible" so I would rather read that as "Anything but Android is possible"
The two year "deal" with Microsoft should be coming up soon. Let's see if they recommit or start finding new options because of what Google has been systematically doing to Windows Phone - locking them out of Maps (but it will be restored), removing EAS (Exchange ActiveSync) from Gmail and affecting new WP7/WP8 owners and signups among other changes to their services.

In fact, for a "complete" ecosystem, it's quite funny how Google's moves are affecting Microsoft.

Yeah, you might've been the first actually.

I've always thought against it, simply because I believed a large international corporation such as Nokia wouldn't be THAT dumb to allow corporate espionage to occur.

I didn't think it was impossible, just merely improbable. Simply cause iOS was severely limited, Android clunky and the roll out of Symbian Anna and Meego (beta) was imminent.
Not to mention support from Intel, the failure of Windows Phone and the long development period for Windows 8, the industry was ripe for Nokia's (re)taking.

I was proven wrong, I'm a glass half-full sorta guy. Kudos to you.

As expected, it was announced this morning that the new Noka CEO is Rajeev Suri of NSN.
NSN will form the backbone of the new Nokia and will be renamed Networks division.

From now on I really hope we do not need to talk about Nokia and MS in a same sentence ever again
