You should still be able to ssh in and reinstall lipstick-qt5. I had a similar issue twice and reinstalling lipstick fixed it.

If you're lucky, the web interface of your router shows the addresses of the connected devices.

Then enter in the Mac terminal
Code:
ssh -l nemo <IP address>

Please, somebody, if it is possible, provide a patch to disable launcher scroll per page and make it continuous as in n9 or for example as it is done in settings/apps view.

i suppose it is hard, but i'd care to see just one snap - when switching from lock screen to multitasking view.

Okay, so i wasnt able to ssh via wlan.
For usb...
I 'guessed' that my Jolla's Default ip (in the dev mode settings) is 192.168.2.15...
After setting everything and connecting via USB in dev mode.
when i enter in my terminal (mac)
ssh nemo@192.168.2.15

i get operation timed out.

Im freaking out now, since theres no way to flash my jolla...
any genius here who can help?

Why ?
Its annoying and eats up a lot of screen estate for no purpose. its easy to accidentally press the words and it reveals my passwords.

ps. i linked a photo of the error i have into the friends thread, incase you hadnt noticed

try this

1. Press the volume down button and the power button Jolla, and connect the USB to your computer.
2. In the command line, type telnet .
3. In the window that opens, enter o 10.42.66.66 to log into the recovery mode Jolla.
You should arrive on the following interface

Jolla Recovery v0.2

Welcome to the recovery tool!

The available options are:

1) Reset phone to factory settings
2) Reboot phone
3) Bootloader unlock [Current state: Locked]
4) Shell
5) Try btrfs recovery if your device is in bootloop
6) Exit
Try option 5

Your WLAN IP and your USB IP addresses are different.
Maybe Angry IP Scanner could have helped to find out Jolla's host address.
And as long as your Jolla is allowed to connect to your wlan without entering anything you should've been able to ssh in. Even after a reboot with blank screen your device should autoconnect to your AP and let you in btw. did you ever successfully ssh'd into your device? I'm asking because of the ssh password which is by default generated randomly and only visible in dev mode settings. (in case you didn't set your own password for ssh)
And did you make sure your PC/Mac and your Jolla were in the same net when trying to connect? Operation timed out sounds like your Jolla isn't connected or one of both devices is probably in a different network.

Regards,

J4ZZ
