Could you please post your router (brand, model, version, firmware etc.) here if you got the 770 working with 802.11b/g (or b only, should do) and WPA-PSK?

I tried 3 different routers now, and with all of them, the 770 connects only once, stays online until manually diskonnected, but will not connect a second time, even if it rebooted meanwhile.

Switching the router off/on always helps, bute because I have the same behaviour on three routers now, I am sure its a Nokia problem.

Knowing if any router is compatible with my so-called WLAN-device would help.

(BTW: I tried a DLink DI 514, another DLink which I cant remember (that was somewhere else) and the Speedtouch 585.

(UPDATE: In my original post, I mixed up WEP and WPA - of course I want WPA-PSK working, not WEP.)

My D-Link DSL-G604T always worked flawlessly with both my TH55 and Nokia 770. I also find that the N770 is far better than the Sony talking of connection speed (time to connect to the AP)

Just My 2 (euro)cents

Nokia 770 now working nicely with Belkin 54g router - model F5D7230-4 running firmware version 3.00.07. I am using MAC address filtering and WEP (with a 64 bit key) and was browsing within 30 mins of unpacking the 770.

The browser is a tad slow to load, but the response between sites is pretty good.

Cheers, J

My 770 works reliably with a Linksys WRTSL54GS using WPA2.

Wow. I'm so happy: My ISPs Support Hotline helped me with the Speedtouch 585 (I bought it there) and it now works (almost) without any problems:
The simple trick was that I had MAC address filtering on and set the Speedtouch to allow only the Nokia 770. For some reason (and I guess I better start a separate thread about this) this doesn't seem to work. I have to set MAC-filtering to "off"; well, I can live with that for the time being. After all, I had no WLAN-connection at all so far.

After my disappointing experiences with 2 DLink-Routers I was so obsessed with the idea that it's a WPA-problem, that I never thought of really checking and re-checking all the other parameters.

Thank you all for your feedback about working routers, I'm sure it will be of value for other visitors here.
