@adi0909 have you ever try Open Media Player ("full free open source rewrite of the stock mediaplayer")? It supports portrait mode

In landscape mode there are 3 rows and 5 columns but in portrait mode there is 9 rows and 5 columns, so it would be great just to reverse number of columns with number of rows (5 rows and 3 columns)

In media player you can not change volume using touchscreen, turn repeat on or off, go to now playing (button is not shown on screen), ...
You look like you are using forcedrotation, hence this is not a bug.

Better battery life
smooth transitions
deleted non needed games and replaced with emulators or emulators like picodrive with few games
installed simple cleaner for trashy files folders like clean900
newer BROWSER the BIG deal!
maybe facebook app or smth like that
replace original cam with rich features like manual focus for taking pictures and filming
more codecs like filming on 720p and for playback
hotswamp???????
full phone control on hw keyboard
non lagy phone portrait rotation
manual phone vibration control
no video on boot or change to short clip without sound
make all swappolube configs in n900 without the app
install lowmemmode
remake settings app from scratch without that laggy scrolling
replace original media player with openmediaplayer or other app to be fast with equalizer and fully controlable with hw keyboard
make power-kernel as default
replace original photo viewer with solid pictures editor non laggy scroll and fullcreen picture view
let us watch videos in fullcreen without those striplines on top and bottom
maybe develop new app to easy download newest firmware and fast flashing the phone without cmds xterms just with green light that shows everything is ready just press flash and wait! its 2014 and we still use the old principe for flashing that black phone god!

i think if all of those settings will be in next cssu nokia will suck balls and starts to get back our beloved n900s cheers from Lithuania!!

^^ 1 for that . I think cssu should contain more third party enhancements and a guide sticked on homescreen how to rip unneeded things or notworking propetiary things... Lastly changing the core icons would be great.. Microsoft is diching us finally silently.. Maybe modrana as default map omp and yeah a browser also that gets updates with cssu??

i think developers should make maemo more portrait friendly . There are some things like you cannot add a contact in portrait mode , no portrait calendar , onscreen keyboard is not portrait compatible. And optimisation of the current apps should be a priority . I think optimisation is not an issue anymore because of the use of thumbs in testing.

One useful suggestion which should be easy enough to include in settings or a status area switch if BME replacement is installed is a simple recognition of the obvious problem killing N900s, the USB port.
Quite often the port is ripped out but it is still possible to solder connect the positive and negative terminals but not the data pins, there is also the users who have hacked in a inductive charging system. Right now the only option is to bypass the charging system in the phone and use a battery charge manager circuit stuffed under the battery cover and soldered direct to the battery pins.
There is some discussion of turning off the data pin short while still having charge management in this thread http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=93289&page=2

apparently all that is required with BME replacement installed is:
Code:
echo dedicated > /sys/class/power_supply/bq24150a-0/mode

IMO, CSSU shouldn't add any apps, it should strip them out and allow the user to install them via repos. (ie. start stripping stuff out of the large meta package.)

Beyond that, I'd like to see thumb2 make it up into stable eventually...
