Well Dave it seems that climate change is on a temporary hiatus..
For 30 years.. then it will kick in again and get real real bad.
Had the scientists puzzled for a long time...but they finally figured out why temps have been weirdly subsiding..
Just as the Greenlandic ice shelf has been the air conditioner for the planet....the Atlantic Ocean used to distribute it ....since the AC is failing...the Atlantic has been absorbing the heat ...drawing it down deep...it will be doing so for a while...then will release all that heat and energy in about 30 odd years...compounding upon what exists in the atmosphere at the time...
Not really the countdown I was hoping for...
I still hold out hope for a "Night of the Lepus" scenario...a great terrible flop of a film...

Giant domesticated rabbits.....threatening our fair planet
..then we can apply our Terminator technology (thought you'd like that) to build giant Jaerger to fight the Bunnies from hell
Alot more exciting than the planet getting hotter and simply smelling and feeling like being inside a month old unwashed pair of sweaty sumo wrestler's underwear.

I think it will be slightly more than 30 years but its anyones guess. Eitherway I´m thinking of buying a fast MTB and bike some more instead of the car. Anyone here with uber knowledge about bikes? I was planning to get XC bike, ala radon SKEEN 29 10.0 or Scott Spark 920/910.
Yeas I know. I wont save the world. But WTF...Start biking ASAP

Well the bike is the easiest way to try to outrun the giant bunnies from hell.
Been biking since a kid ...gone through a few...I like to take them and beat them up off road...yeah looks like a decent bike...For myself I like a bike as durable as possible....strip it down so it has the least finicky parts that can break or wear easy....makes it easier to fix..I used to love my racing bike back when in the day...great on pavement...terrible off road...loved the 1st mountain bikes...but mountain bikes are terrible on road...the rugged tires make for a slower bike on road...and those straight bars are real bad on the arms...the shock of impacts of any sort can do real damage on a straight locked arm...not to mention posture.
Some of the better hybrid bikes I absolutely love...
My favourite bike has the bars of a racer instead of the straight mountain bike type....a sturdy mountain bike frame.......yet light...real tight narrow tires like a racer ...but nubbed for all terrain....it is a bit slower than a racer on pavement ..but nothing noticeable...no slogging ...a wee bit more jarring than a mountain bike with big fat tires...yet less jarring than going all terrain with racing tires.
Love it....best of both worlds..
