Hi everybody,
I don't have any skills to code on Jolla but I have a dream : a patch to display the next calendar events on the lock screen.

A bit like it's possible on the N9 on the events/flow screen.

Anyone else interested? Someone to code this?

Thanks.

After nearly a year Jolla creates simply not build the calendar function correctly. At least they will be viewable in Notofication view entries. At least that! How hard can that be? For those who do not want to have just the option Show / Hide enter in the settings.

Love Jolla, I ask you to set times one or two other programmers who read active in the forum and wish of user implement. Yes, we know that many bugs need to be fixed. But it can not be that simple inviduelle settings are not implemented .... the same with quick settings.

sorry for my bad english

I share the same dream. It's one of the biggest single missing feature on my usage.

The lockscreen is defined in /usr/share/lipstick-jolla-home-qt5/qml/Lockscreen.qml
Seems it is not that difficult to add a patch that'd place notifications there

I don't want to be a mummly, I really LOVE my Jolla, but calendar is, like from '90. I actualy use web calendar, because jolla calendar is useless for me.
So this opton to put in notifications is at least first step to make usable calendar.
I'm willing to pay for calendar like Jorte Calendar & Organizer....
Go, go, go...

My dream is to fix the calendar so I dont have to pull down every time I want to see what day of the week a specific date is
Very annoying...

Yes, pishta74, I absolutely agree. That is the single most annoying feature. I wonder what genius came up with that abomination. That does not even look like art for art's sake as it's not even pretty. More like a change for the change's sake.

I actually tried this just for the fun of it; yes, it is very possible.
I wrote up a short qml addon for the lockscreen that places 4 rows of user configurable text smack in the middle of it

Now to make this useful, we'd just need a backend that checks the calendar database, for example every 10 minutes and updates the entries on the lockscreen. --> profit
