No AESNI in Z3735F. But the D variant has it. Alphabets are serious business.

XDA has a short article about the Jolla Tablet and I found it confusing.

http://www.xda-developers.com/androi...let-announced/

Near the end it says

"The first two thousand people who helped to fund the campaign already got their tablets. The rest will have to wait until May 2015 to finally get the device."

I had assumed the first deliveries for anyone would not take place till May. Is this correct?

Correct. No clue where the above comes from. If somebody has 2K Jolla tablets, they are having me with a baseball bat after them soon to get me some more development devices.

Lol. That's what I thought. I commented on the article that there is an error. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Okay, after lot of thinking I've decided to also contribute to this campain. I still don't know for what I'll use this thing (never had any tablet and never wanted one), but I'm thinking about this as an investment to my favourite company & people with the hope they'll made a cool phone like my n900 was ;-) And at least I'll have some new toy to play with...

Because I did not say they need 30milliin to create second device. what i did say is they need money to create a second device. because I doubt investors willing feed jolla with more money.

and yes they may very well have spent 30eur on two years. or do you thinnk those people are unpaid employers or testing, marketing, manufactoring is free!?

One question to you guys owning a Jolla - what keyboard languages are out there? I am particularly interested in Farsi and Hebrew, do they exist? Or at least Arabic (a few different letters to farsi though).. they didn't a while back.

No farsi or hebrew. Only "atypical" languages included besides the usual European ones are Russian/Slavic and 4 varieties of Chinese.

There are Hebrew layouts on Open Repos [1] and an Arabic layout [2], the relevant thread is http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=91917

Nothing about Farsi, but you could probably mod one of the others yourself.

It seems that Jolla has a 'strategic partnership' with Here. Nice!
