It's clear you need a keyboard and IMO you should wait until SIP works on Sailfish (Jolla) exactly the way it does on the N900.

It might some day but as much as I like Jolla, as ex-Nokians they appear to be still shellshocked by the rapid decline of Maemo devision and the whole of Nokia soon after in a way that they assume the N900's basic integrated features are NOT what the market needs first.

I have both Jolla and N900 and if the N900 breaks down I buy another N900.
If the Jolla breaks down I'll hold my next move and wait for Jolla to resemble N900 II closer.

I'd wait until at least MWC in March to see if a new model or partnership surfaces.

sip hasn't surfaced yet and there is still a lot of stuff that is sort of there but has no UI integration. There is still a lot of stuff that is still broken and not much the community can do about it as Jolla are blocking access because of closed source and unfinished APIs.

If you need SIP, CalDAV, CardDAV today get a mid range android phone and sit it out waiting for Jolla to finish implementing these. I'm guessing it'll be another 12 months at the rate of current development.

Right now is good time to buy Jolla, since there is 50€ discount code. http://reviewjolla.blogspot.fi/2015/...-of-jolla.html
