Same thing here. I have no Windows Computer here,so i can't try WART.
Right now i'm without account. Everything says old_version. Via wazapp (with patch),whatsup 1.1.7, persecute.
Via yowsup it says "Code request failed. Reason: no cell routes to make call/send sms for your operator. Please try other method [sms/voice]" -> strange.i got full coverage.

I'm back online, trial and error by luck..
Below chrono was roughly what i did
1.remove WU account (backup 1st)
2.remove Wazapp account (never remove/uninstall it all the while, not sure abt the rest)
3.reboot
4.register via Wazapp, fail old version
5.register via WU, connected n retrieve all unread msg from WU down till to-date, but connection still not stable
6.reboot and WU still not stable
7.after multiple times reboot finally WU stable now..
Will report back again

Btw my .conf dun have ConnectionStatus var now..
creation=1289695432

kind=free
accountstatus=active

If I remove my account, Every data will erase?

Media shd still retain globally, existing chat will be gone, u might need to save ur existing chat, save it locally using 'send chat history'
Fyi,i din backup hence my existing chat gone..

May be weblogin is the check they do to decide old or new version client

So, what do you guys recommend? Should we just delete account, register again and cross our fingers?
This whole thing seems pretty random to me. My friend has no issues and we have the same version and even the same cellphone service provider..only thing that differs is the time we have registered whatsup, so it might be the password -thing suspected here. Cepi, Is there any "easy" changes we could try to do to the code ourselves trying to figure out what is causing this? I'm not a developer / coder but I could give it a shot.

Problem solved... Reset password... I use WART 1.7.3. (WhatsApp registration)... You can download it from: https://github.com/shirioko/WART
Change old pass with newone in /home/user/.config/cepiperez/whatsup.conf

And it work again !
