I recently installed OpenSSH server so i can ftp files back and forth on my n810. I pulled a ****** and forgot the password for user that i initially setup. When i uninstall and reinstall it doesnt give me the option to change it like it did the first time. So i'm assuming it's stored somewhere on the n810. Does anyone happen to know the exact location?

use becomeroot or some other method of gaining root access and change the password. that should do the trick for you.

the installation process for openssh modifies the password of the root account on the device. it is not a separate ID or stored in a different location. the ssh subsystem is tied to the user accounts on the device.
