I did a search on TMO and found only this old thread about this piece of software. Probably because it's a stupid idea... but anyway... I'm wondering if is it possible to run pencil2d on an N900. Maybe with easydebian ? It's an animation software with layers, you know... Like a mix between paint and openshot.
My ubuntu desktop gave me those dependencies:
Code:
$ apt-cache depends pencil
pencil
Depende: libc6
Depende: libgcc1
Depende: libming1
Depende: libqt4-xml
Depende: libqtcore4
Depende: libqtgui4
Depende: libstdc++6
If not possible to compile pencil2d and/or get it running, does anybody knows any simple animation software that runs on an overclocked beast ?
Thank you all.
EDIT: Explaining what the software is.

libming1 is not in the repos. Maybe if it gets ported to N900, pencil2d could be ported to N900. Though I can't say if it will run or not.

AFAIK it's only in Sid. I don't know if it makes the things easier.

I just love it when people go straight to providing a link to the sources, without bothering to explain what it actually is

...does anybody knows any simple animation software...
Oh. I see

Well, it is forked from another program Pencil in 2013. For a stable release, you probably will have to wait. Or you can try the unstable one. (What could possibly go wrong!)

Ok. I'll try that one after backing up my ED image. In the meantime, i found Tupi. It's not as simple as Pencil and the menus are pretty small on N900 screen, but it works.

I may be stating the obvious, and sorry if I am, but you are aware of MyPaint's existance? To my knowledge it still works, and it's available in extras.

Thanks but it isn't about drawing. I rather want an animation app in order to produce short animation cartoons.
