I do some C# dev at work and was happy to discover that Mono works on Mameo. Does anyone have and feedback on their experience developing for the ITs with Mono?

Hi!
I compile some example (like HellWorld and GTK exapmle )
by Installing the OS2008 Development Environment in Ubuntu and Building Mono with Scratchbox.
Looks like http://linuxuk.blogspot.com/2008/01/...velopment.html and http://mono-project.com/Maemo.
Not try on N800 but on desktop looks great.

I was about to ask the same question when I saw there are some DAAP bindings for maemo, but actually no daap-capable application present just yet.

Also, it seems only the N800 is supported. Any news there?

What I'd like to see is a resource for helping Visual Basic programmers transition from their traditional Windows-based development world to maemo...

*sigh*

Having something like that would be great! I'm a VB2005 developer myself (among other languages of course). The last time I attempted to convert one of my projects over to mono though resulted in failure due to non-implemented APIs and such at the time. I've been waiting patiently for the mono project to continue to develop until it's implemented all but some rarely used APIs, then I'll take a look at it again.

I proposed the idea in my Nokia blog, but so far no feedback...
