Im using an android phone right now, but last week I turn on my N9 again.
So i couldn't access google account.
So i start searching and this is how i configure google account with two-step verification

read this carefully

First you have to activate
two-step verification

Then you have to go to app password
How to Add a new app program

Select App program: Email
Custom device
Yo can edit a name, i wrote nokia n9.
Generate password
Then google will make a 16 digit password (it doesn't matter what email password do you have)
the password is like this: f123 fiss terw wake
there are 16 digit separate with space. You don't have to write the space.
The password is: f123fissterwwake

Write your username and that password in the google account setup on n9
and that is!

you will have googletalk,gmail again on your lovely N9

Is this still using the two factor 16 character password as the gmail password?

Sorry that this workaround probably of no help if using two stage authorisation and only applicable to older devices.

You cannot add Google account to use google talk or other Google service. You can only configure Gmail account to have acces to your Email, or use Jabber plugin to acces Google talk/hangout service
