hi im a newbie, i'd like to use this app. i tried to run the example scripts in /home/user/Event\ Feed/examples/

i tried to run from terminal the youtube script with /.get_youtube_videos <word to search>

and as a result i saw some numbers list in the terminal then it stops but nothing appears in the hildon event feed app nor in the widget

same as for the rss feed script

can you point me to the right usage?

thanks

i just noticed new versions of this package http://maemo.org/packages/view/hildonevents/

should work now with cutetube?

what about using as rss feed? can you write a small "how to"? the example scripts used before are outdated?

The new version works with cutetube2 via an additional package cutetubeeevents, which is configured using the hildonevents settings API. cutetubeevents currently depends on cutetube2 (because it launches the videos using cutetube2), but I might change that and allow a user-defined action to lauch videos.

There is also an rssevents package for adding RSS feeds. Currently, the feed items are opened using the default handler for HTTP links (typically MicroB). Again, I may allow a user-defined action in future.

The D-Bus API for hildonevents now mimics that of the MeeGo-Harmattan event feed. It is documented in the README at https://github.com/marxoft/hildonevents.
