Reason is that icd2 is totally closed and there is no motivation to RE one of closed plugins which working... It does not make sense.

Also it is possible to create new ipv6 module, but again it spends lot of time and it will be useless because current closed module working.

I've had the same diversion problem on an older device while upgrading. The code that fixed it:
Code:
# cd /var/cache/apt/archives
# dpkg -i --force-all libicd-network-ipv6-scripts_0.2_all.deb
# apt-get install ipv6-support

@int_ua: if there is problem with upgrading, first uninstall and purge old version (dpkg -P <package>) and then install new version again.

Tried it, but with apt-get purge, is it different? Anyway, it's working fine currently

Yeah,
Code:
apt-get [remove/autoremove] --purge
..the purge flag tells it to delete all files the package declares as "conffiles". Normal "remove" leaves all those files in place.

There's also:
Code:
apt-get purge # shortcut for apt-get remove --purge
For most intents and purposes, there shouldn't be any difference.

Anyway, I'm necro-ing this thread to say that I added the last vote needed for the ipv6-support package in testing to be promoted to extras.

Hi! Some packages still need vote for moving them to Maemo Extras!

Hello, I fixed more problems with ipv6 support packages:

* fixed problem when icd2 daemon got stuck and was not able to connect to any wifi networks (stop icd2 && start icd2 was needed)

* fixed dhcp timeout problem on ipv4 networks, after timeout icd2 marks wifi connection as failed (this is default behaviour without ipv6 support packages)

* disabled noisy verbose dhcpv6 client debug messages in syslog

New update is for packages wide-dhcpv6-client and libicd-network-ipv6-scripts (in Extras-Devel and Extras-Testing).

Please test and vote for moving into extras:
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...15-11.1maemo2/
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...6-scripts/0.3/

Also other ipv6 packages needs votes:
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...letimer/0.1-3/
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...o-ipv6/0.1-14/
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...sso-rtsol/1.4/
