I have a feeling this is going to be a stupid question, but it's driving me nuts, so here goes...

I can't get the green arrow in the Sailfish SDK to show up (it's greyed out).
  • I followed the guides on sailfishos.org
  • I've also looked around at other tutorials, I couldn't find any mention of this problem
  • The project is just the template with no changes other than the description in the dialog
  • The project builds fine and the binaries for both architectures are produced.
  • The MerSDK is running
  • The SailfishOS Emulator is running
  • I'm using Virtualbox 5.0.10 in Kubuntu 15.10

I just can't run the app in the emulator!

WHY?!

Did you select "deploy as RPM package"?

Did you configure your device via Settings?
