I can say that I have been very frustrated with the iGo & the NIT with the issue of the mystery random not repeating phantasm of repeating characters as you type. I was to the point to just selling the keyboard.

But as 'luck' would have it, I foobar'd my App Manager yesterday and finally quit trying to learn how to hunt down the problem and re-flashed. I had not known there was an new update. So I of course used the latest update.

Today when I connected my keyboard I typed...and typed...and then typed some more...and not a single instance of phantom character repeats. Only once when I accidentally multi-pushed a key did I get repeats, but those were my fault.

So, I am curious if it is just me or did they do something to address the issue?

On a side but potentially related note. I am seeing less phantom screen taps too. You know where you tap one location and something half-a-screen away is activated.

Maybe it's all just me or maybe it was a repeat rate issue all along. Or they the sensitivity levels were to twitchy and they decreased the sensitivity to make them more accurate and less high-strung.??????

No, the only change in 51-3 was an update to NOLO.

Aye, 51_3 made no difference for my iGo either.

But until the issue is formally addressed, there are a few ways to work around it. Comment #14 (linked below), in particular, links to an easily installed patch that sets the initial delay nicely. Austin's workaround (in earlier comments) is more complicated, but allows you to set the initial delay and the delay between repeats. I've used both, and would say the simple #14 patch is probably the way to go for now.
