I'm experiencing weird things. When I plug my headphones into one of my N900s, then I don't get a headphone icon the status bar. Still
1) the headphone inserting event is recorded in dmesg
2) psswitcherd recognizes this as well - when I insert the headphones, the loudspeaker gets disabled.

The same headphones work perfectly on another N900 and a computer.

Any ideas what's happening? I'd rather avoid reflashing - I've just flashed 2 weeks ago and have spend a while getting my perfect setup :P

just a wild guess: maybe X-Path is outcommented in /usr/share/applications/hildon-status-menu/bluetooth-headset.desktop...?

Nope. I forgot to add that no sound can be heard through the headphones.

I remember that i could create that "no headphone icon" condition by playing around with alsactl.

Take a look at this:

Nope. And I said this too fast that the fix worked.

But if I move the jack around a little, then the headphones are recognized until I plug them out.
