Warehouse may list every relevant package on openrepos, but it only installs user packages and their dependencies. Have you tried installing via the command line with apt-get?

You must install it from commandline.
Either apt-get install, or download deb, then dpkg -i.
As root.

That worked a treat. thanks.
I've tried to install ncdu from the Warehouse but it gives me the error "Package 'ncdu' is not user package".
I have midnight commander installed - not sure if that is relevant.
Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?
