I received my Jolla C last week, but only managed to tinker with it yesterday.

So far it looks like a small improvement over the Jolla "1" in most respects.
I am a bit stuck with the FM radio however:
I tried to connect the headphones as requested, but:
- they are not recognized if i insert them completely
- they seem to be recognized if I only insert the cable part way

Once they are recognized, I can scan for stations, and it recognizes the station by name, but there is no audio, either from the loudspeaker or the headphones.

Did anybdy manage to make the headphones work?

I would also like to use the headphones as antenna only, i.e. have the audio out of the loudspeaker, is this possible?

I connect to active speakers at work using a 1m cable and FM works better than with headphones somehow.

Routing to speaker would be cool, but is missing for now.

The Headphone Jack is one of the few drawbacks.
There is a scary very loud and hard click if i put my sennheisers in.
If you have the Headphones on, there is a loud shrill beep while plugging in.The plug fits very tight but if you jiggle a little you have scratching sounds.
Same flimsy and thin matterial as on the battery pogo pins i guess.

AFAIK cable is used as an antenna - so it is an expected result

With the N900/N9 I could listen to the radio without headphones with acceptable signal. I assume whatever interlock is present on the Jolla C that prevents using it without headphones will be software-only. Hopefully it has some decent reception without HP (think Bluetooth headset...).

Yes, but what is the difference between an active speakers cable and a headphones cable?

By the way, I ponder about what exactly the community development program entails? What happens if I decide to pass on the JollaC to someone else, since I'm not going to use it?

since jolla has been not restrictive in those things (too much administration necessary?), they will not be mad at you but calculate the C will find another community member or interested user.
You will propably recieve emails with invitations to discard.

The Community Program is not bound to any commitments afaik.
I did not sign up for anything.

But a nice move would be to ask within the community first if you sell it!

Can't select any web browser search engines. I am in version 2.0.2.43. with my Jolla C. This still works in tablet and Jolla1 with version 2.0.1.11. Any help available?

Edit. Newer mind, already found answer...
