If a successful company like Pebble is closing shop, what makes an underdog like Jolla think that they can do it better? 
It's not like they've been known for a solid business strategy.

I was joking.
Anyway, there is market for watches, it just isn't that big. There are Apple and Samsung zealots that won't go for something else, but there are also plenty of people that want an always on watch that can work a week without charging it and most of them don't want an ugly Fitbit device. I'm one of them for instance
