Hi, where I could find compatible smt/smd micro USB connector for Jolla Tablet? For reference here is JTablet's original connector:

Resoldering this will be a fun part with hot air soldering station

Silly question but what is wrong with this one? I appreciate that it may have fallen off but the connector itself looks fine (though I have not seen the other side, is that where the problem is?). It is the PCB I worry about.

Try an electronic components shop. I do not know about such shops in Finland; here in the UK I would go to Maplin. Failing that, there is always eBay.

I've had issues with the original Jolla phone and tablet. I've found using a cable that has connector with a tight fit works. Ie. often some connectors can wiggle about, and those won't charge the device.

@pichlo That is not a silly question at all. You made me to start question why I soldered out the connector and were there really reason to do so. My tablet were not charging properly, in specific position of male connector, device would fully charge. Otherwise battery would drain despite OS charging icon.
PCB is OK.
So I felt stupid while I read @mrsellout comment. Though I did try before multiple USB cables but I did not found enough tight one.

So my logic replied: replace the damn connector.

Have to point there is not much room for working with a soldering tip as other components are too close.
I have to wait for parts and solder paste to arrive from Ebay sellers so I can do my repair round 2.
Thanks for replying

As a coincidence, I do know the design house of Jolla tablet. I might be able to get a few components for free. But it won't be very quick...

Update and news of success. I got new display from TMO member and I did my dyi micro USB repair. It is not pretty result but I'm happy that my Jolla Tablet works again Though I have to reopen it again as I just noticed lack of OS recognizing SD card. Fault lies in
very annoying microsd connector which were not well enough inserted.

I used http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/10Pcs...-/182383293629 but I think if you bend it properly it will fit.

Before 2 hard solder rounds:
