The title is self explanatory.

You would think that the micro adaptor was simply a pin to pin adaptor however I have a 2 GB microSD which came with a Mini adaptor which works fine. I then tried to use the same adaptor with an 8 GB microSDHC with no success.

The N810, if it recognises it at all, states that it is corrupt or needs to be formatted. When I try to format it, the system stall for a while and then goes back to the beginning again.

I've been on the Sandisk website with no success. Any help you guys could give me would be appreciated.

I am using a microSDHC with an adaptor bought as a kit with a microSD (not HC) without problems.

This being said miniSD have 11 pins and microSD just 8.

Others have reported similar problems. It appears to stem from tolerance issues, from brand to brand or maybe even within brands, eg, from adapter to adapter. There's another thread here somewhere that goes into great detail.
