I'm planning on buying a Samsung Gear watch soon, but there's a problem.
Although the Gear app is installed I can't get a connection.
Bluetooth is on on both devices. My Aqua Fish detects and connects through Bluetooth, so does the watch. However, when I start the Gear app it tells me that Bluetooth is not switched on.

I'm guessing this is one of the limitations of Sailfish OS for security and privacy.
Is there a workaround or solution available?

Not as yet, no. But it's something I'll look at sometime. I'm aware that Blue Z5 was installed with the last update, but it's not yet enabled as it's in beta.

Thankees.

Jolla have informed me that they plan to introduce wearables support in future, but it's not a priority.
Playing the waiting game, I suppose.
