Would be easiest way provided user goes to Settings - Applications - Installations - Allow from non-store sources and then pointing N9 browser to:
https://openrepos.net/content/basil/warehouse

Just seen that I put here only the result. So now the (obvious) command:

Get root (devel-su) and
Code:
chown user:users /home/user/.config/Nokia/Drive.ini

Still managing to download additional maps (still remain 2015 vintage) via "Manage Maps" in Maps application via WiFi albeit quite slowly; however no longer possible to download Navigation voices within Drive and have to be installed manually from other sources now.

AFAIK map data upon HereWeGo in different format, could even be that individual map tiles are larger in size.

They are indeed different, compare just the size of a specific country, the new ones are bigger. Even if it would be possible to somehow read them, I don't think someone will try.

I think only the last line is needed, but I don't get the Nokia account crap at start-up with a SIM in it anymore.
Ok... maybe I'm just too new to this stuff, but where do I have to delete those lines? Or better asked: Which file and with what program do I have to edit this file?
Maybe a little "Step-by-Step" help for newbies?
Thanks in advance

P.S.: I had read about another way on a different page, but that one didn't work ...
