Thanks. I had looked at Soco before but it did not tick the "not prohibitively expensive" box. At £2,349, it is still within that territory, but not too deep. I cannot justify the expense at the moment, but who knows in a year or so? I will keep an eye on them.

The one I looked at more closely was about £1k on a time limited offer, which is more up my street. But, as I said, the distributor ignored me and I eventually lost the details, including the name. I am not even sure it still exists.

Where are they hiding? Not sure how many times I’m ended up on their shitty site when looking for jolla.

Here in Canada ...the price for a super soco bought local is over $5500 CDN
On super soco's store on aliexpress ...shipped straight to my house ...the total is $3930 CDN ...
So you could consider that option.
Also there are faster E Cycles that are cheaper ...

Electrical vehicle are all great. But it depends where the power comes from. More wind, sun water power needed. Less nuclear. Less waste.

But I will go for cars. Maybe a simple version of bike at my summer house to pick up breakfast and stuff. But don’t really like to drive bikes on the roads with all “idiots” roaming the world.

Both have been pushing for it to come to a trade war.
Both have done and do practices that amount to the inevitability of a confrontation between each other.
The US wants dominance ...and China wishes to supplant the US dominance.
The harsh reality is with trade conflict at the level it is right now, the actual "effect" is far reaching and has yet to be fully seen.
It is too soon to see the extent of the damage both parties have done to one another and to the globe.
It will take decades for the effects to subside and for the tally of damage to be fully seen.

The bad part is that it is affecting stocks around world.
