It is possible, yes, if you use an Android version compatible with old bootloader.
BTW, if you need to downgrade new bootloader to old (needed by SailfishOS), a guide is here

only when you have it outside your pocket not facing down.

there is like an experimental version of multirom with no kexec workaround, default main colors are yellow and black

I do not agree.
Even after 7 years of active use, the battery is still okay on my N9...

Why did I bring up this old product? Because it is still better than the current J+...

Sailfish is usable but need fresh powerful device...
