Where did you find it? Could you post the file? Because I have a European N9 with PR1.3_001 and CentralEurope EMMC...

Thanks ... stupid question: What is it for/what does it do?
Do I need to install it?

I just recently reflashed the phone...

No need for this package to manually install at all (if you did not tinker and messed up, e.g. apt-get dist-upgrade).
It is just a meta package pulling in some other PR specific packages.

But if removed a lot of other stuff may get removed, too.
So leave this alone...

Nope just did what is said in "Re-commissioning N9 in 2018" ...
Still - some apps simply won't install.

Like mentioned by others.
This is a "dummy" package, which depends on a sh...losd of other packages.
Removing it will allmost brick your phone (it will renove a bunch of needed packages).
Trying to install it, might resolve in a bunch of packages that cant be found.

Short: Dont mess with that package!
